The Senior Staff Accountant reports to the Manager of Revenue Accounting.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, revenue recognition, daily invoice processing, general ledger accountability, as well as financial analysis and other special projects as assigned.  This position will also be required to support the financial accounting team in the process of the monthly financial close by ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate.  This position requires a determined and motivated candidate who works well in both a team and individual environment, works well under pressure, multi-tasks, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Essential Functions:

• Daily processing of Sales Orders and Invoicing according to company revenue recognition standards
• Ability to perform data manipulation and analysis on information acquired from multiple sources
• Prepare journal entries and ensure the general ledger activity is accurate and complete
• Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies using multiple data sources
• Analyze financial information to recommend and develop efficient use of resources
• Assist with improvement and implementation of standard accounting procedures 
• Assist in year-end audits and quarterly reviews 
• Ensure financial information is recorded in accordance with GAAP and established Company policies and procedures
• Participate in various special projects as assigned
• Perform other job-related duties as requested 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required
• 5+ years’ Accounting experience
• Demonstrable track record of working with and servicing internal stakeholders
• Strong communication skills
• Strong knowledge and experience applying the use of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• MS office suite: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook

Preferred Skills:

• Navision experience a plus
• Advanced knowledge of excel functions and abilities.
• High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
• The ability to work interactively across functional groups
• Exposure to highly analytical and challenging business issues with complex financial and operating efficiency implications
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
