Reporting to the Production Systems Engineer,the Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for transitioningnew product from the design phase to the production line, and with following upon any changes that may occur later.  They will utilize CAD, PDM, and ERPsystems to create, release, and maintain product data. They will utilize Leanmethodologies to evaluate production processes and identify opportunities forwaste reduction.  The manufacturing process engineer will work closelywith the design engineering group early in the design process, with productionduring the prototype builds, and with vendors during the production phases,with a hands-on approach to waste reduction throughout the entire buildprocess.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with Design Engineering on DFX
  • Identify ways to reduce production costs and perform cost justification as needed 
  • Validate ECOs in production for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Establish routing and work centers for newly released products
  • Create or validate assembly drawings and BOMs for new product releases to vendors
  • Liaise with suppliers on manufacturing processes
  • Generate released CAD packages for submission to suppliers
  • Continuously improve operations quality, productivity, and cost

Computer/Technical Skills

  • SolidWorks experience required
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with an ERP system and/or PDM system preferred
  • Lean manufacturing training or experience preferred

Education/Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • Experience working with sheet metal, CNC processes, and assembly processes preferred


  • Full time / 40 + Hours per week
  • Must be comfortable working on a computer for most of the day, and in a manufacturing environment.  The job will also require occasional periods of bending over, reaching, and lifting objects.
