Bench Repair Tech I demonstrates knowledge and skills to test all peripheral components on a pass or fail basis. Individual in this position are knowledgeable of the Return Material Authorization (RMA) Process, ensuring that all returns are expedited in the correct manner. Tech I must have basic knowledge of multi-meters along with various electronic test equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform a test on all incoming components to determine disposition, such as: Good, Repair or warranty.  
• Maintain the RMA process for all incoming components from Field Service and determine the disposition.
• Maintain work areas and the general Bench Repair area clean, organized and safe.
• Load software and firmware on Bill Validators and Printers.
• Support the assembly process in the Bench Repair area as needed.
• Monitor processes for issues and rework, helping to develop long term solutions to these issues.
• Communicate any repetitive issues or concerns relating to products to the Bench Repair Lead and/or Production Manager.
• Communicate effectively with other departments.

Requirements:

• High School Graduate
• The candidate must be self-motivated, a strong team player, display initiative and be prepared for all future challenges this position will bring.  
• Must be flexible to handle business need changes.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Electronic Technical and Assembly aptitude  
• Basic Computer skills
• Hand tools to include (wire strippers, various types of wire crimpers) 
• Hand Soldering
• Lift up to 55 lbs.
